Terrace: Experience the Best of Nature

Terrace is one of the best-kept secrets of British Columbia. If you have to explore the best of nature, there is no place that is better than this. It is situated on the banks of Skeena River. The snow-capped mountainous range is just a treat for the eye. There are many things that you need to explore when you are in Terrace. Take a look at the attractions to check out during your visit.

Exstew Falls

Believe me, this is one of the most spectacular falls that I had come across in a long time. As you drive down the forest service road for about ten kilometers, you will come across 2 waterfalls. Both the lower and the upper offer a spectacular view. Do not forget to carry your cameras to capture this beauty on your lens. The upper falls sweep down a hundred meters down the rocky bluff into a lush green basin. The view is just stunning.

Terrace Mountain

There is a signature trail that will lead you to the Terrace Mountain. It starts from Johnstone Street and eventually climbs up through the coastal forest. There are wooden benches along the trail if you feel you are too tired and want to rest for a bit. The city and the river sit at the bottom whole the coastal mountain surrounds it.

Gruchy Beach

I have a strong affinity for beaches. So missing out Gruchy beach was a complete no-no. The 1-kilometer long trail surrounds the beach and it is a true gem. It will take you through old cedar, Williams Creek, spruce, and hemlock forest. This trail ends at the sandy beach of Lakelse Lake. The natural beauty of this place is simply breathtaking. It is the perfect place to spend some quiet time.
